Deathloop wint meeste prijzen Global Industry Game Awards
Deathloop was de grote winnaar tijdens de uitreiking van de Global Industry Game Awards van 2022.
Arkane sleepte maar liefst dertien verschillende prijzen in de wacht. Ook It Takes Two van Hazelight Studios behaalde tien prijzen, waaronder twee voor engineering en twee voor art. Ook Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart en Returnal wonnen meerdere prijzen. Bij de indiegames wonnen Unpacking en Kitfox's Boyfriend Dungeon twee prijzen.
De show werd voor de tweede keer georganiseerd door de International Game Developers Association. De show is opgericht omdat andere gameshows meer focussen op de dingen die studio's hebben bereikt en minder op de personen achter de projecten, zo valt op de officiële website te lezen. Daarom zijn er zeven categorieën verzonnen om alle betrokkenen bij het ontwikkelen van een game in het zonnetje te zetten.
