Reverend van VE was zo blij dat hij Max Payne kon spelen dat hij voor ons vier plaatjes maakte van Max Payne. De plaatjes vergelijken hardwarematige Transform & Lightning met softwarematige T&L en het effect met en zonder Anti-Aliasing. Reverend doet dit op zijn bescheiden systeempje:

Aardig systeempje One of the first things I did after installing and actually playing the game was to find out how much of a difference Hardware T&L makes to the game. So I played the game for quite a bit until I reached the first "Bo " scene, which immediately struck me as playing rather sluggish, probably below 30fps. Enabling developer mode allowed real-time framerates to be displayed and I immediately set about running that particular scene with the two options available to me with the Thunderbird 1.1GHz+GeForce3 in my system - that of "D3D Software T&L" and "D3D Hardware T&L".
