Eind dit jaar moet Peter Jacksons tweede verfilming van JR Tolkiens Lord of the Rings in de bioscoop gaan draaien. De film is echter niet het enige waar fantasy fans op kunnen wachten, er komt namelijk ook een lading games aan die ieder op een eigen manier de fellowship tot leven zal brengen.

EA heeft de rechten om de films te 'vergamen', iets wat volgens de E3 preview van TGV tot nu behoorlijk goed lukt. The Two Towers is een 3D action/adventure waarin de speler de rol van Aragorn, Legolas of Gimli aan kan nemen om de 16 levels door te hacken.Being an action game, the first thing that strikes you is the action; at times it's complete carnage as dozens of orcs flood the screen hacking and slashing away, Stormfront Studios have already done a great job of reproducing the fantastic action scenes from the films, and it's this that grabbed our attention and differentiates it from others in the genre. However it's not all hack 'n' slash, EA are promising a tactical combat system as opposed to the mindle button-bashing usually employed in this type of game. Players will have to manage what type of weapons and special attacks they use, whilst directing their AI controlled allies.

Hoewel TGV vooraf aan de E3 presentatie meer zag in de spellen van Vivendi Studios, die games maakt gebaseerd op de boeken, lijkt het erop dat EA Stormfront Studios niet de opdracht gegeven heeft een cashcow te maken.
