The game follows the exploits of one of the security guards at the Black Mesa facility during the whole "aliens zapping out of thin air" thing that happened there. Je krijgt een echt déjà vu gevoel als je de screenshots ziet, want ondanks de nieuwe high-definition models zijn de textures nog hetzelfde als die in de oorspronkelijke Half-Life.
