Like the original, Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn (BGII) will be based on second edition Advanced Dungeons and Dragons (AD & D) rules, and the epic adventure will take place along the Sword Coast, just south of where the original game was set. However, knowing gamers' high expectations for improvements in sequels the developers have included more exotic areas for the gamer to explore, like an elven city, a Drow city in the Underdark and even an underwater Sahuagin town!
