Eindelijk kan Sony voldoen aan de vraag naar de PlayStation2. En daardoor begint het goede nieuws ook eindelijk te arriveren voor Sony. Sony heeft deze week namelijk de winst van het laatste kwartaal bekend gemaakt, en dit was alles behalve negatief voor de PS2. De afdeling van de PS2 heeft in totaal nog steeds zo een 415 miljoen dollar verlies gemaakt, maar dit is een stuk beter als het kwartaal ervoor, en daarnaast normaal, of zelfs goed voor een console. Sony heeft in totaal 1,8 miljard dollar winst behaald met het hele bedrijf, wat 24% beter is als het voorgaande jaar.
Het zal waarschijnlijk niet al te lang meer duren voordat Sony ook echt winst gaat maken met de PS2.As the supply for the demand of Playstation 2 systems begins to be met, Sony reported its fourth quarter earnings.
