Tecmo en Xbox zijn een samenwerking aangegaan om tijdens de E3 een wereldwijd toernooi te organiseren dat helemaal in het teken staat van de Ninja game Ninja Gaiden. Tijdens de vele gevechten op Xbox Live kan je je skills laten zien en registreren om zo hoger op te klimmen op de tournament ladders.

Enige puntje is wel dat je de game eerst uitgespeeld moet hebben om jezelf te kunnen registreren en zo mee te doen. Tecmo and Xbox have announced the Master Ninja Tournament, an online gaming tournament based around Ninja Gaiden. It will kick off at E3 with a three-round regional competition that will last through the summer. Xbox Live owners, who have beaten the game once, will be eligible to register for any and/or all three rounds of the tournament where they will test their ninja skills by competing in trial mi ions only available through Xbox Live.

Once the tournament begins participants will compete against other players within their regions and then will be ranked on their overall scores from these trial mi ions. A leader board demonstrating the player's overall ranking will be available through Xbox Live so that players can see how they stack up against the competition during each round. Winners are determined by the top rankings in their region for each round.

From there the three top players from each region will advance to the regional playoffs where they will compete against each other's scores on all three trial mi ions through Xbox Live. The player with the combined best score for all three levels will be flown to the World Master Ninja Finals held in September in Europe.Na even gebeld te hebben met Microsoft om de release datum van de game in Nederland te bepalen werd ons gemeld dat de game nog steeds voor de 7 mei release geplanned staat en dat alle lichten op groen staan. Voor de snelle Ninjas onder ons wellicht leuk om mee te doen?

NOTE: Je hoeft dus niet op de E3 aanwezig te zijn om mee te kunnen doen. Je kunt gewoon op je luie stoel meedoen!
