Hoewel ze hoogstwaarschijnlijk niet in Nederland te zien zal zijn, is het toch wel intere ant om te melden. SCI FI chanal is namelijk bezig met de ontwikkeling van een miniserie gebaseerd op het puzzelspel Myst. In de miniserie die in totaal 4 uur duurt, zal een groep mensen naar het eiland gaan om daar het ware mysterie te ontrafelen. In 2003, SCI FI Channel will air a miniseries based on the best-selling adventure game of all time. The four-hour MYST miniseries will send a cast of characters on a journey to discover what really happened on the island of Myst. Along the way, the crew uncovers an ancient civilization that existed beneath the surface of the Earth for thousands of years -- a civilization that created magical books allowing one to travel to other worlds and ages. Using these books, the characters get entangled in the intrigue and mystery of undiscovered worlds. MYST will be a Mandalay Television Pictures production for SCI FI, executive produced by Elizabeth Stephen with Rand Miller and Susan Bonds of Cyan in a ociation with Columbia Tri Star Domestic Television. Het is leuk dat een spel een goede inspiratiebron kan zijn voor een televisieproductie. Of de kwaliteit beter zal zijn dan de vorige producties gebaseerd op computergames is een vraag die we mi chien nog wel eens op de Myst miniserie DVD beantwoord zullen zien.
