Bij Gamespy hebben ze een blik mogen werpen op Kingdom Under Fire. Dit spel, gemaakt door de koreaanse ontwikkelaar Phantagram, is een combinatie tu en de Starcraft en Diablo. Based on a cla ic battle between good and evil in a unique setting, Kingdom Under Fire is truly an ambitious game. An RTS at heart, it also strives to combine some RPG elements in the middle of the game, allowing some exploration, character improvement and item-gathering to change the pace of the game for a while. What happens in RTS will greatly affect your abilities in RPG portion of the game, and the opposite applies as well. Though utilizing 2D sprite-based graphics, the game still manages to play stunningly. And when you have 70+ different kinds of units at your disposal, who'll pay any attention to the graphics?? In the end, this game might be the game that will take the best of the two vastly different genre -- RTS and RPG -- and put them together in a fashion fun and daring enough to warrent a look.
