X-Box interview | Gamer.nl

Na eerdere trailers deze week is er een derde trailer van No Man's Sky uitgebracht.

GameSpot UK heeft een interview gehouden met de guru achter de X-Box, J. Allard.

Ik ben benieuwd of ze volgend jaar (of nog later) nog wel up to date zijn met het concept, maar.. We zullen het zien.

[bullet] GameSpot UK: How key are online games going to be for X-Box?J Allard: I'm a bit biased because when I joined the company I did a lot of work on TCPIP and networking. We think that fundamentally that is the kind of environment that X-Box is going to produce in gaming and we think that there are going to be games that are so amazing with this kind of platform but we don't know what they're going to be. It's the ISVs that's are going to provide them.We think that by 2005 everyone will have broadband and so we have a 100 Megabit ethernet built in, so we're going to be ready for whatever kind of broadband comes down the pipe. So we're kind of batting ahead of the curve on that front. We also believe that digital voice over net is going to be instrumental and we think that the ability to record your own voice onto the hard disk so you can make your own me ages and insult your friends is going to be very important.[bullet] GameSpot UK: Is the lack of email and a keyboard a potentially problem?J Allard: We really don't think that's what gamers want. From our research, we think that what gamers want is to be able to slot in their game and just play using their controller. They don't want to have to deal with a keyboard and wiring, they don't want to have to deal with touch typing, they don't want to have to deal with configuration or slow gameplay. The focus of the X-Box is fun, but we'll help developers do great stuff with the system no matter what, as long as they're offering a great experience for the player.Gamers hoeven geen toetsenplankje?? Nou..
