Die zeer binnekort hun nieuwe game gaan uitbrengen Red Alert2.There was something serendipitous about the day in 1984 when young computer programmer Brett Sperry walked into the Las Vegas home of his friend Louis Castle. Sperry's visit was supposed to be for the quotidian task of borrowing Castle's dot matrix printer. But little did either programmer know that this circumstance would be all that was needed to bring about the partnership now known as Westwood Studios. Without that printer, games like Command & Conquer, The Legend of Kyrandia, and Dune II might never have been produced.

Fifteen years later, Castle's long-obsolete dot matrix printer is probably collecting dust in his attic, but he and his business partner aren't about to let Westwood Studios fall out of fashion. It makes sense, as both have seen their software development house through its peaks and valleys. While selling 2.4 million copies of Tiberian Sun might be a far cry from the $18,000 that the duo earned to create The Temple of Apshai Trilogy in 1985, the underlying beliefs about how to build a successful and entertaining game haven't changed over time.
