De game wordt voor zowel de PC, Playstation 2, Xbox als Gamecube ontwikkeld. Van deze laatste versie zijn vandaag een aantal nieuwe screenshots vrijgegeven, waarin we zien dat de soldaten ook in 3D hun mannetje staan.Worms3 uses a proprietary, all-new deformable polygon landscape engine that allows the player to destroy any part or ALL of the landscape, from any direction.
