Formerly an arcade game, Outrigger is a first person multiplayer shooter for the Sega Dreamcast that could beat both Quake III Arena and Unreal Tournament at their own game. With both mouse and online support, Outrigger is looking like it will be lots of fun when it comes out in February.

This download-only game will used a modified LithTech engine to depict players in big robots fighting each other in a “Smash TV” like setting. If the game is succe ful, it could be the start of a new trend of profe ional games bypa ing the retail channel and releasing full games via the Internet. Shrapnel: Urban Warfare 2025

Using the LithTech 2.5 engine, Shrapnel: Urban Warfare 2025 (originally titled M.O.U.T. 2025) is being described as a near-future first person shooter with elements of the U.S. Army's Land Warrior project. Drivable vehicles, sci-fi weapons and a mix of small levels and large environments make this a very promising title.
