Met de toenemende kracht van spelcomputers komen er steeds meer nieuwe terreinen open te liggen voor ontwikkeling. Pixis Interactive Inc. wil op Microsoft's speeldoos een Virtuele Sex simulator uit gaan brengen met als pakkende titel: Virtual Pornstar: Bunny Luv.
Aan het ontwikkelen van deze titel voor de XBox kan Microsoft helemaal niks doen, probleem is echter dat Microsoft met de ESRB (organisatie die ratings aan titels geeft) had afgesproken om geen Adult Only titels uit te brengen. Pixis meent dat deze afspraak geen probleem is, ze zijn namelijk niet van plan om de titel aan te bieden aan de ESRB. En als het spel geen rating krijgt is er geen probeem, aldus Pixis.
De titel moet volgens Pixis wel een succes worden, want de SEXBox biedt dat de 2 dingen aan die hardcore Gamers het leukst vinden, sex en games
Virtual Pornstar: Bunny Luv will be among the first in a series of virtual sex simulators made by Pixis for the Xbox video game system in fall 2001. "The guy just called me just now." Media had just finished talking with what he described as a very unhappy Microsoft executive, when AVN.com called. "He said it's causing a lot of controversy.' He said 'Well, the ESRB (Electronic Software Ratings Board) is getting on our case,' because of the fact that Microsoft said that they weren't going to do any adults-only titles," said Media. "The ESRB got really pi ed off at Microsoft, and Microsoft said [to Pixis] 'Hey, look we can't stop you from releasing the title, but can we work on something to make it a little bit more clear about this position?'" When asked if he expected legal problems from the software giant, Media responded, "They don't have a leg to stand on." Media went on to say that if Pixis submitted Virtual Pornstar for a rating it would receive an AO [adults only] rating from the ESRB. Pixis has no plans to submit the game to the ratings board at this time.
