Jooers schrijft: "Dit is een werkende procedure, ik heb hem zelf getest, en het werkt als een speer !!!":This guide is designed to help people get a lower ping in online games on ANY connection. I get a ping of about 100-180 normally (on a 56k modem, usually stops at 90-150). If your ping goes over 250 you'll find yourself getting major lag. Some steps in this tutorial are specific for modem users, so if you find hat you cant do a certain step, simply skip it.. This tutorial can be used to get better pings in online games off ANY connections - e.g it can be used by cable modem owners, ISDN owners, 56k owners and any other internet connection. This will also make your download times better, and should improve your "ping" or "latency" in online games. The guide should also set up your system for better gaming performance in general. Packet loss is when data is lost when coming back from the server or going to the server. This is your ISP, and has nothing to do with your ping. It's also recommended that you download the latest drivers from your modem manufacturers website. This guide was also aimed at users of Windows Millennium. The guide will also work for all other version of Win9x, although some of the pictures may be slightly different (The guide will work with all versions of Win 95 and both versions of Win 98, as well as Windows Millennium). Dit wordt er ook gezegd :
I recommend that everyone upgrades to Windows Millennium as it seems to have a much better networking code, more like NT than Windows 98 networking code. Upgrading to Windows Millennium also lowers your ping.
