Online reports have claimed that Epic Games is preparing to bring a whole new version of Unreal Tournament to Xbox. Epic's Steven Polge told French Xbox site, Xbox-fr.com that a new version of Unreal Tournament would be seen on Microsoft's console. "The Xbox version of UT will be a new game with all new content, taking full advantage of the new technology we are developing."Shortly after that statement was posted, Epic's Vice President Mark Rein spoke to Stomped and said that Polge had jumped the gun. "No final decision has been made on what game we will make for the Xbox," said Rein. "Like every other developer on the planet we would love to make a game for the Xbox."Rein went on to explain that an Xbox version of Unreal Tournament might happen, but that no plans had been made yet. "It depends on our publisher and Microsoft but Steve's answer certainly represents our thinking of what we would want our Xbox game to be, which is completely designed for that platform from the ground up."Epic's vice president Mark Rein heeft het weer ontkend.
