De review is al effetjes oud maar ja hij heeft er nog niet gestaan. As the sequel to Codemasters' 1998 surprise hit TOCA Championship Racing, Touring Car Challenge once again showcases the uniquely European world of sedan racing. Like Sierra's Viper Racing, Touring Car, which was developed in Great Britain, is a pseudo-simulation. It exhibits enough authenticity to make you believe that you're driving a real car, yet it's not so complex as to alienate "action racing" fans. The problem? Though the game offers substantial refinements to the original, and smartly conveys the close-quarters, metal-grinding action that is integral to this form of competition, it is beset by obvious glitches and questionable design decisions.
