Hoewel reeds eerder het gerucht ging heeft Ubisoft het nu officieel bevestigd: er komt een spel gebaseerd op de film van het boek The Sum of All Fears geschreven door Tom Clancy. Net als vorige Tom Clancy games ligt de ontwikkeling in handen bij Red Storm. The Sum Of All Fears games will be based on events from both Tom Clancy's novel and Paramount Pictures' movie, immersing players in the middle of a high-stakes adventure as members of an FBI elite hostage rescue team rea igned to track down the conspirators of a major plot against the United States. Players can choose to play as part of a three-player team or up to 36 players can join the multiplayer action on the ubi.com gaming portal as well as the internet. The game takes place in a number of modern day locations, including West Virginia, the Middle East, and South Africa, and allows players to follow the story of The Sum Of All Fears via rendered cinematics depicting vital plot points from the novel and movie.

Het spel zal draaien op de engine die gebruikt is in Ghost Recon. Het spel is al bijna af en zou in mei reeds in Amerika uit moeten komen, tegelijk met de film. Wij Europeanen zullen echter tot 25 Augustus moeten wachten, waarschijnlijk omdat de film hier ook iets later in premiere gaat. Of we hier met een veredelede Ghost Recon datadisk te maken hebben of echt met een leuk nieuw en verfri end spel, dat valt nog af te wachten. Er zijn in ieder geval al wel twee screenshots verschenen om je op te warmen.
