Het lijkt erop of The Sims de videogame wereld zal overnemen. Terwijl de PC gebruikers niet meer kunnen ontkomen aan The Sims Online, zal over een aantal weekjes het spel ook op de Playstation 2 verschijnen. EA heeft namelijk laten weten dat het spel gold is. Net als de PC versie kun je een virtuele vriend maken die je moet begeleiden (of niet ). Het is in de PS2 versie ook mogelijk om een ander karakter te impoteren en samen met je vriend of vriendin tegelijkertijd te spelen.Brace yourselves! De PS2 versie heeft verder unieke content die niet in de PC versie zit. The Sims voor de Playstation 2 zal 14 januari in Amerika uitkomen, Europa is 21 februari aan de beurt.
