Half-Life 2: Episode 1 en 2, Portal en Team Fortress 2 krijgen vanaf vandaag ondersteuning voor de Novint Falcon controller, een accessoire dat spelers terugslag, het gewicht van objecten en de textuur van muren laat voelen.
De
Novint Falcon is een controller die een nieuwe game-ervaring moet bieden door besturing in drie dimensies te bieden. Het is volgens de makers een kleine robot waarmee je games bestuurt en waarmee je interactie kunt hebben met de spelomgeving.
Een update via Steam stelt je in staat deze nieuwe besturing te ervaren. Half-Life 2 kan ook met de Novint Falcon worden bestuurd via een update van Novint zelf.
Left 4 Dead
Volgens Valve wordt de functionaliteit spoedig ook voor andere games beschikbaar gesteld. Het gaat hier in eerste instantie om Left 4 Dead, Day of Defeat Source en Counter-Strike: Source.

Of loop je eerst een stukje, en daarna schiet je een keer, en dan loop je weer.. etc.. ?
Ontopic: dit heb ik al eens eerder gezien, maar alleen Valve lijkt het echt te ondersteunen.. als het nou meer was dan dat leek het me al direct interessanter.

Echter zo'n "joystick" wijst er op om 'm te hanteren zoals je dat op een natuurlijke manier zou doen. Dus in mijn geval, schieten (als pistool) met links… dan gaat lopen erg lastig

Echter lijkt me dit ding wel grappig, alleen voor dat geld vind ik het proberen niet waard.
Een stuur voor racegames lijkt me ook niet bepaald onder de groep, casual gamers vallen.
Denk dat met met dit apparaat best hardcore fps games kunt spelen ^_^
