The Future of Real Deathmatches? | Gamer.nl

Na eerdere trailers deze week is er een derde trailer van No Man's Sky uitgebracht.

Bij The Adrenaline Vaults staat een stukje over de toekomst van real deadmatches....According to United Kingdom-based science program, Tomorrow's World, a new headset for video games claims to give you a genuine sensation of movement from a tiny current sent through electrodes behind the ears to stimulate the balance nerve. The aim is to avoid the need for expensive and cumbersome hydraulics used in simulators. The device uses galvanic stimulation of the vestibular system. In plain English, that means the electronic stimulation that influences the user's sense of balance. Utilizing combinations to each electrode, it fools the body into feeling it is accelerating, slowing down or moving to the left or right. At the moment, some people feel the current much more than others do, so researchers are trying to determine how to achieve the most consistent results. The device is not yet available, but is expected to retail for le than $100. It requires a mere 40KB of hard drive space and can be integrated into any game's source code so that your whole body feels every movement you see on the screen. And some of you get nauseated just from watching a 3D action game...
