Een van de overnamekandidaten blijkt Microsoft te zijn.
Eidos announced to the London Stock Exchange today that it is "in the early stages of discu ions which may or may not lead to an offer for the whole of the i ued share capital of Eidos". CTW News is reporting that the announcement sent Eidos' share price rocketing from the opening price of 435.5 pence to 552.5 pence, although it has dipped slightly to around the 510 pence mark at the time of writing (3pm GMT).It is unclear who Eidos is in discu ion with, although it has recently been speculated that a number of companies including Infogrames and Microsoft would be interested in acquiring the South West London-based publisher.
