Speler banned van Everquest servers. | Gamer.nl

Na eerdere trailers deze week is er een derde trailer van No Man's Sky uitgebracht.

Onslaught schrijft:"Sony did it again... Een speler bannen van de Everquest servers vanwege beledigende taal t.o.v. het bedrijf/spel"In a recent decision, Verant, a subsidiary of Sony Online, chose to restrict acce of a player, writing under the name Mystere, from EverQuest due to content in a piece of fan fiction they found offensive. The fiction was on one of the Everquest bulletin boards on EQVault, but has now been removed. The story was posted a few months ago, but was apparently brought to Verant's attention only recently.

According to the player's agreement, Verant can restrict acce to any player for any reason. According to a statement by Andrew Zaffron, general counsel for Sony Online, the company made the decision to restrict the player's acce in order to protect its intellectual property rights from derivitive works that tarnish the image of the copywritten work. See the bottom of this story for the full text from the general counsel's statement.
