Het afgelopen kwartaal ging schijnbaar slecht voor Interplay: 7.8 miljoen dollar verlies. Echter is dit ontzettend goed als je je realiseerd dat in hetzelfde kwartaal vorig jaar een verlies van 16.6 miljoen werd geleden."1999 will go down as a year when Interplay was able to change course 180 degrees and develop into a new company," said Brian Fargo, Interplay's chairman and CEO. "We came up short of our goal of returning to profitability within the year but succeeded in completing key strategic transactions.... that played a key part in restructuring and strengthening Interplay for the future." Even though last year proved to be a rough one for Interplay, 2000 should be smooth sailing for the company. With games like Baldur's Gate II, Neverwinter Nights, MDK 2, Messiah, Icewind Dale, New Worlds, and Klingon Academy all due for release this year, Interplay's near-term future looks bright. Go Interplay!
