Flapwap_X meldt ons via de nieuw ubmit dat er na Mortal Kombat, Streetfighter, Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy en Resident Evil nog een film naar het witte doek zal komen, namelijk de Sega hit 'The House of the Dead'.
Mindfire Entertainment has begun casting up-and-coming actors along with established Hollywood talent for its first film based on Sega's popular House of the Dead horror games. A director will be chosen during the next few weeks. Mindfire's Dan Bates, Mark Altman, and Dan Kletzky will be producers for the R-rated film, budgeted at $15 million-$20 million. Principal photography is set to begin in mid-January, po ibly overseas. The film, a prequel to Sega's three mature-rated video games, is expected to bow between Halloween 2002 and February 2003. Voor de mensen die House of the Dead niet kennen, het was oorspronkelijk een arcade-shooter waarin je samen met je maten alles wat bewoog en zombie heette van het scherm af moest knallen.
