Republic: The Revolution Preview | Gamer.nl

Na eerdere trailers deze week is er een derde trailer van No Man's Sky uitgebracht.

Republic beloofd toch wel één van de meest indrukwekkende spellen van de komende tijd te worden en op Action Trip hebben ze een preview van deze simulation gedaan. Vooral het detail wat het spel gaat beloven is indrukwekkend. The knockout punch comes from the fact that the game has rendered all of the 30-50 towns, five cities, and the capital in full 3D, down to the small, decorative window flowers. A common building is made up of up to several million polygons, and what's more, NoviStrana will be inhabited by no le than one million residents that will roam the city streets, most with a different look, personality, and AI routines. Chances are you've probably read all of this before, but did you know that Elixir only recently implemented moving objects such as people, blended textures, and material effects... Next to go in is lighting, shadowing and special effects such as smoke and water. That unlimited polys engine promised in the early pre seems to be shaping up well… It's really mind-boggling when you think about it. The environment is starting to come alive, and the engine does seem to be capable of dishing as much polys as your PC is capable of handling… Umm… that 1GHz Athlon GeForce 2 setup sure sounds nice for Christmas… (Ed. note - Don't worry, the game should according to Elixir run fine on a PII-400 with something like a TNT.)Republic is not just a pretty face though. The game is an incredibly complex mix of different styles, genres, and concepts, supposed to come together as, in many ways, an epic type of political simulation/management game… The main focus is on the open-ended nature of NoviStrana's gameplay… Besides having so many ways in which you can sit your butt in that dreaded comfort chair (nobody expected the Spanish Inquisition) - gain power dummy, the complex world of NoviStrana will poses a "life of its own". We should've sort of expected such a thing having in mind that the game world is populated with million plus AI citizens. If you left the game playing it would carry on changing despite the lack of player input… Get it, life of its own…

Zeker een titel om naar uit te kijkenJe kan hier verder lezen.
