But I try (sometimes unsuce fully) to be pragmatic in at least some of my decisions and I had occa ion to wonder if, from strictly a gamer's point of view, I had indeed made a wise choice. That is, with my purchase based on the OS itself and not on the games' performance in that OS, was I somehow hindering my ability to compete in these first person shooters? More to the point, how does the Linux version of Quake 3 Arena perform compared to the Windows version on my system?
