Maar doordat de nieuwe console DVD's gebruikt als medium kan men pornografische titels onder de DVD sectie uitbrengen, terwijl het toch een game is. Het voordeel hiervan is dat adult DVDs compleet legaal zijn, maar Sony absoluut tegen adult games is, en dus nooit een adult game zal toelaten.
Wanneer men de DVD in de Playstation 2 stopt, krijgt men de keuze tu en de game en de film. De meesten zullen uiteraard voor de game kiezen, aangezien die interactief is

Grootste argument is dat deze 'games' vooral gemarket worden op een jonger publiek, die eigenlijk helemaal geen toegang zou mogen krijgen tot dit soort dingen."The pornography industry is making every effort to mainstream their product," said J. Interactive porn can be even more insidious than regular videos and magazines, Flores argued.
"The level of interactivity enhances fantasy, so you can customize it to fit your fantasy," he said. "It's incredibly destructive.... What you have is an effort by the industry to turn sexual exploitation into a game."
The adult entertainment industry has always catered to early adopters of new technology, like VCRs and the Internet, and even unauthorized adult video games are nothing new. Recent auctions on eBay have offered underground games for the original PlayStation — like Playboy: The Private Collection and Sextasy Volumes 1 & 2.
