PS2 hardware-uitbreiding artikel | Gamer.nl

No Man's Sky uitgebracht.

At the recent Tools & Middleware Expo 2000 in Japan, third parties showed off a number of software and hardware solutions for PlayStation2 developers, including some very interesting new goodies. Demonstrated at the show were working browsers, an external USB modem and even a fully functioning color printer. Given the PlayStation2's incredible array of input and output ports, it's hardly surprising that these devices are po ible -- what is surprising is that Sony seems to be encouraging the use of third-party solutions to what have traditionally been first-party concerns.Take Epic for example. The Unreal Tournament creator has already indicated that USB mouse and keyboard support will be included in the PlayStation2 version of the game, and that the support isn't nece arily contingent on Sony-produced devices. You should, in theory, be able to plug in your Microsoft Intellimouse and a USB keyboard and set up your mouse speed and preferred key layout using an Unreal Tournament interface.
