Ubi Soft Entertainment heeft vandaag in een persbericht aan de wereld de launchdata's bekend gemaakt van Planetside, de MMOFPS ontwikkeld door Sony Online Entertainment. De datum voor Europa is vastgesteld op 19 mei, waarmee weer eens bevestigd wordt dat mei een goede gamemaand is dit jaar.

Planetside is een online FPS waarin teamwork centraal staat. De speler voert met zijn squad mi ies uit in een gigantische wereld. Het spel is nog het beste te omschrijven als Tribes 2 gone big. De Nederlandse gamers hebben trouwens extra geluk, de Europese server voor Planetside staat in Amsterdam, wat goed is voor de ping. "PlanetSide represents a whole new genre for ma ively multiplayer games." Says Alain Corre, Ubi Soft 's managing director for Europe, the Asia Pacific region and South America.
