Als er één ontwikkelaar is die ons maar blijft verwennen met nieuwe maps, units en patches dan is het Blizzard wel. Op dit moment zijn we aangekomen bij Beta patch 1.17. In deze patch introduceert Blizzard 2 nieuwe neutral heroes, de Goblin Alchemist en de Firelord.Om de patch te testen moet je inloggen op de Westfall gateway. De game wordt dan automatisch geupdated naar 1.17. Heb je er er weer genoeg van, kies dan weer een van de public gateways (voor ons Northrend) en back to 1.16 you go.Warcraft III Beta Patch Details

Beta version 404 of the upcoming 1.17 patch is now available on the Westfall gateway. This patch contains many bug fixes, balance changes, a couple new features, and two new Neutral Heroes!! You can connect to Westfall and participate in the beta test by connecting to Battle.net, then logging off and choosing Westfall from the Gateway selection screen.

Please be aware that once you patch up to Beta 404 you will need to reselect Westfall from the Gateway selection screen. At any point you want to go back to playing 1.16 on the public gateways (Lordaeron, Kalimdor, etc.), simply choose the appropriate gateway from the Gateway selector screen and you will automatically be reverted back to version 1.16. Er kan dus nog van alles veranderen.
