Haal de Outlaws cd's maar weer uit de kast, LucasArts heeft namelijk een Direct3D patch voor Outlaws gemaakt. Ondanks dat het spel alweer 4 jaar oud is is het nog steeds populair. Het gaat hier wel om een beta release, maar who cares . De patch vereist de meeste vorige Outlaws patches en werkt nu met Direct3D en Windows2000. Ook worden nu resoluties ondersteund tot 1600x1200.Outlaws D3D Update provides hardware 3D acceleration support for video cards featuring 3D hardware and DirectX compatible drivers. You will not be able to use this update if your system does not meet this criteria.

To use the D3D driver:

Open the Outlaws Launcher

Select "Select Video Mode"

Select "Direct3D (HW Accelerated)" from the "Display Driver" window to select the D3D driver.

Click on one of the "Available Modes" to select a desired screen resolution for the game.

Click the "OK" button to return to the launcher.

Click the "Play Outlaws" button to begin the game.

Corrects: This update for the game has been modified to:

Provide support for the D3D portion of the DirectX API.

Provide support for Windows2000 Yihaaaaa. Voor slechts 197 KB kan je Outlaws weer nieuw leven inblazen.
