Beta Bites bekeek de 5 verschillende game modes Midtown Madne gave you the chance to go tearing through the streets of Chicago in a variety of vehicles. Now, the cities San Francisco and London are not safe. Midtown Madne 2 puts you in the driver seat in one of these cities. Twice the fun, twice the challenges, twice the madne .
All the vehicles from the original Midtown Madne are back, along with 10 new vehicles. Among the new cars to careen around town in are the Audi TT, the Aston Martin Vantage DB-7, the VW Beetle Dune, and (my fav) a Freightliner Fire Truck. The fire truck may be terrible at cornering, but when you're behind the wheel of a 54 foot long vehicle...who cares? Plow right through obstacles!
The game has 5 basic game modes, most of which are familiar from the original game. The modes are Cruise, Blitz, Circuit, Checkpoint, and the new single player game Crash Course.
Multiplayer: Cops Vs Robbers
Midtown Madne 2 also comes fully equipped for multiplayer games. Play friends through TCP/IP, or challenge strangers through the MSN Zone. Up to eight players can be in a game, so there's lots of potential for fun and mayhem. The basic race modes of Midtown Madne 2 singleplayer are available in multiplayer mode: Cruise, Blitz, Checkpoint, and Circuit. There is also a new game however, Cops and Robbers. In Cops and Robbers, you have some choices: Cops vs Robbers, Free for all, or Robber teams. In Cops vs Robbers, one team are the police, driving in the Mustang Cruisers, and the other team are the robbers. The object for the robbers is to steal the gold and get to their hideout. The cops job is to get the gold, and get it to the bank. Of course, you can take the gold from whoever has it, by causing them to crash.
Other Features
This game has improved physics, handling of cars, sound...you name it, this game has it. Mastering things like the powerslide is e ential to win these races, and knowing the abilities of each vehicle is an a et (the cruiser can't take much damage, but is very fast...the fire truck is slow, but very durable).
Midtown Madne 2 is a game that can suit any taste. Whether you like games to test your skill and accomplish tasks, or if you like to burn rubber around the track, you can find it here.
