Mark Poesch over U2Ed vertraging | Gamer.nl

Na eerdere trailers deze week is er een derde trailer van No Man's Sky uitgebracht.

Mark Poesch heeft zijn .plan geupdate en heeft daarin de reden gezet waarom Unreal2Ed (de opvolger van de UnrealEd leveleditor) vertraging opgelopen heeft. Een beetje vaag allemaal. We hadden hem blijkbaar al kunnen hebben:The short story: When I zipped everything up on 2/29, it totaled 25MB. In retrospect, we should have posted that. You could have downloaded it countle times in the time that has pa ed since then. But, at the time, I thought it made sense to make a patch that would shrink the download size to something around 5MB. Something went wrong.... The long story: After stabilizing our build, we were eventually able to create a patch. But, preliminary testing showed that it was not compatible with all UT CDs. After a week (2/28 - 3/3) of having someone muck around trying to make the patch work, I decided that we should just post the 25MB ZIP instead of the 5MB patch. Unfortunately, I left for the Game Developers Conference on 3/7 without providing specific direction. We have the OK to post to U2Ed.com, and the 25MB ZIP is "good enough" at this point... but, as far as I can tell, the update is still pending. I just returned from my trip to CA, so I'm not certain what has happened since my departure two weeks ago. I'll see if I can break something loose today....
