De engine die gebruikt werd in BHD zien we begin volgend jaar terug in Joint Operations. Wederom een militaire shooter waarin dit keer ook de nodige voertuigen aanwezig zullen zijn. Joint Operations speelt zich af in het Indonesie van 2006. Een militante organisatie blaast Westerse doelen op, iets wat het Westen niet op zich laat zitten, vandaar dat men de Joint Operations forces erop af stuurt.As in Black Hawk Down, Joint Operations will be spread out acro a variety of gameplay types, with old standbys like deathmatch, team deathmatch and Capture the Flag and newer styles like Attack and Defend, which appears to be one of the main focuses of the title. In this mode, one team attempts to take out a series of targets while the other team tries to defend them. Some objective-themed maps (similar to ones in Unreal Tournament's A ault or Return to Castle Wolfenstein) could find their way into the mix, and NovaLogic is also planning a 10-mi ion single-player campaign as well as at least 8 co-op mi ions, supporting at least 8 players via LAN or Internet. Different maps will be designed to support 16, 32 or 64 players, and at least 30 original maps are planned in all.
