Het aantal recente toptitels op de Xbox valt buitengewoon tegen. Zeker in Nederland is er behalve matige sport- en actiegames maar weinig spectaculairs uitgekomen en moest ik me in de winkel afvragen wat nu eigenlijk de moeite waard was aan te schaffen. 60 euro armer en een (wat naderhand bleek) rotgame rijker kon ik het besluit nemen om nog maar een half jaartje te wachten op fatsoenlijke Xbox games.

Gelukkig komen er ook een aantal andere games uit die het bezit van een Xbox meer verantwoord maken. Daarbij denk ik dan vooral aan een Project Ego, Indiana Jones, StarWars Galaxies en natuurlijk Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

Over deze laatste schreef GameSpy een erg positieve preview:Based on a "mi ing" episode of the third season of the TV show, our sexy heroine is still at Sunnydale High School and has yet to bugger off to college. The development team obviously adores the show and has managed to pack so much detail, trivia, and plot development into the game that it'll please casual fans as well as the most diehard Buffy zealots. Buffy and the "Scooby Gang" have been crafted into digital renditions of their TV personas, including Giles the Watcher, Xander, Willow, and the ever-shallow Cordelia. Giles can train Buffy by offering new Slayer techniques (super moves) while Xander's wry humor and prototype weaponry (a Super Soaker filled with Hellfire and Holy Water, anyone?) make welcome additions to Buffy's arsenal.
