Is dit de nieuwste ontwikkeling op het gebied van game-developing, worden de spellen te zwaar voor het internet?Hot on the heels of our discovery that American McGee's Alice would be a single-player only title, comes word from Bungie that Oni, their upcoming third person game of anime-inspired action, will no longer feature a multiplayer component of any kind. Apparently the latency i ues with their combination weapon and hand-to-hand combat system simply prevented any sort of Internet functionality, and supporting simply LAN play would have meant designing additional levels that would have detracted from the core of the gameplay. Oddly enough, Oni multiplayer had been shown fully playable at E3 '99, and last year's MacWorld Expo, with four people duking it out with fists and guns simultaneously. The game is set for a simultaneous release on PC, Mac and Playstation 2 this Fall.
