IGN heeft twee Amerikaanse commercials weten te bemachtigen van twee langverwachte games: Luigi's Mansion en Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron 2. Beide commercials stappen af van het 'Japanse' idee, waarin we enkel gamefootage zien. Hier zien we beelden uit het 'echte' leven, gecombineerd met beelden uit de game. Een combinatie die we onder andere eerder konden zien in commercials van The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask en Pokemon Stadium 2.

Ook zien we de 'Cube' die we eerder in tijdschriften zagen opduiken weer terug, dit keer zien we het object alleen bewegen.The Luigi's Mansion commercial – like the Rogue Leader one – follows up on the original one. It's surprisingly cool, too. In it, a teenage male sits on a red couch in the middle of a room playing club music. Next to him is the gothic girl from the first advertisement. He leans over for a closer look at her when the necklace she's wearing morphs into a face and screams – and so does he. The next thing viewers know, the young man is encased in a gla cube whilst footage of Luigi's Mansion plays. Afterward, he's dropped back onto the couch where the gothic girl has transformed into a GameCube console. He edges uncomfortably away and the commercial fades to the more funky music and the system itself. It's all pretty sweet, we must admit. Now see it for yourself.
