Tsjernobyl is in, althans dat blijkt maar weer want vandaag zijn er twee games die in hun storyline deze kerncentrale centraal hebben staan. In tegenstelling tot Oblivion Lost speelt Cold War zich nog wel gewoon af tijdens de koude oorlog en niet jaren later in een verre toekomst, wat meteen de titel verklaard. Cold War wordt een actie/adventure dat gepaard gaat met een uiterst intere ant verhaaltje:Chaser Jones, a journalist for a large American newspaper, is as much a newsman as Indiana Jones is an archeologist. Part bloodhound, investigative journalist, war correspondent and adventurer, Chaser always winds up in the middle of the action, putting his life on the line to grab the 'scoop' before it grabs him.

This time, on the trail of a hot story, Chaser arrives right in the middle of the communist USSR at the height of the Cold War.

While there, he comes acro a plot to sabotage the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, but soon discovers that Chernobyl is just the beginning. He's on the trail of a far-reaching conspiracy, which might be too much for one journalist to handle. Als dit spel net zoveel impact heeft als het vorige spel met de koude oorlog als thema, Operation Flashpoint, dan wordt het wel een toppertje. De graphics van het spel mogen er alvast wezen, maar kunnen niet op tegen Oblivion Lost. Meer screenshots vind je hier.
