Eens in de zoveel tijd, loop je tegen de lamp. Je leest een stukje over een game, waarbij er water in je mond stroomd en je er pas te laat achterkomt dat je je mond moet sluiten. Zoiets had ik ook, maar dan ook weer niet. Ik las het onderstaande stuk op Daily Radar en ging goedgelovig kijken naar de Pre-Alpha screenshots.

Maximum Charisma Studios officially announced today its online-only title Fighting Legends.

In the game, players are in charge of a tribe of warriors in the magical world of Exisle, filled with dangerous foes and bizarre creatures. Battles include sword, spells and kung fu action. There are 81 avatars a player can choose from.

"Fighting Legends is the next generation of online worlds," stated MCS President Sean Kennedy. "It is the first persistent game that merges the boundaries of cla ic RPGs, RTSs and action games. The title's quests and leveling are reminiscent of traditional role-play legacies such as Zelda or EverQuest. The planning required to recruit a diverse force, maneuver troops in battle and the ability to fortify and defend one's base are similar to the real-time strategy play of Command & Conquer or WarCraft. The control aspect emulates action games like Quake or Doom, albeit at a slightly slower pace due to the multitude of actions to choose from and the large number of characters at the player's control."

The title is scheduled for release in Q4 2001.
