Je kent het wel. Na veel zwoegen, hard werken en met veel toewijding, tijd en moeite ben je toch eindelijk beland bij level 60. Maar ja, aan al het mooie komt vaak een einde. Ook bij de Europese World of Warcraft is dit het geval. Deze zal namelijk op maandag avond om 21:00 sluiten. In de dagen erop wordt de laatste hand gelegd aan het serveronderhoud en worden de fora geleegd. Mocht je nog stille hoop hebben dat Blizzard je characters zal bewaren, helaas. Dit zit er niet in. Alle beta accounts worden gewist, zodat iedereen eerlijk en met een schone lei opnieuw kan beginnen. Vette pech voor de die-hards dus. Final Beta Ends

With the commercial release of World of Warcraft coming on the 11th of February, we will be taking all our servers offline on the evening of Monday, February 7. This event is currently scheduled to take place at 21:00 (GMT+1). The subsequent days will be used to prepare the servers for as smooth a launch as po ible. We will be conducting a complete wipe of the forums and erasing all beta accounts and characters to allow all players to start the game on an even footing. All servers and forums will be back online again on the 11th of February.

End of Beta Event

To celebrate the end of the beta test, we will arrange a gigantic Day of Judgement event on all realms a few hours before they are all taken down. You definitely won't want to mi this! While this will mark the end of the European Beta Test, it will also usher in a new dawn for World of Warcraft in Europe. We would like to thank all you testers for your support and look forward to welcoming you back on the 11th of February. Natuurlijk kan zo'n Final Beta niet zomaar eindigen en dus hebben de GM's van WoW flink wat voor je in petto. Een paar uur voordat de servers down gaan kun je heel wat gaan verwachten van de beste heren van Blizzard. Gerucht gaat dat de Infernals van the Burning Legion uit de lucht zullen vallen, het zal er dus ruig en chaotisch aan toegaan. Volgens Blizzard derhalve een event om niet te mi en.

Vanaf 11 februari zijn de servers weer up en kun je dan weer naar hartelust spelen. Tot die tijd is het even wachten geblazen. Alvast succes daarmee!
