Nadat een groot deel van de mederwerkers was vertrokken is inmiddels bekend geworden dat Enix America, de Amerikaanse afdeling van Enix gesloten is.Gamers.com has learned that as of today, January 31st, Enix America is no more. After a ma exodus of talent from the division, it has become apparent that the entire American operation has been closed.

The merger of the two Japanese RPG giants Enix and Square, which was recently off and back on again, is to blame. Sources indicate that Squaresoft will a ume all publishing duties for Enix titles in America, including the upcoming Star Ocean: Till the End of Time.

Het lijkt erop dat Squaresoft de distributie van Enix' komende titels (onder andere Star Ocean: Till the End of Time) in de Verenigde Staten voor haar rekening zal nemen.
