Hoewel Grom, de WW2 strategie/RPG van CDV, nog lang niet klaar is, komt ontwikkelaar Rebelmind nu alweer met de aankondiging van een andere game, namelijk A Fistful of Gold. Onder het motto: "als het kindje maar een naam heeft" werkt men al een tijdje aan deze middeleeuwse RTS die, als we op de screenshots afgaan, gebruik maakt van dezelfde technologie als Grom, namelijk 3D poppetjes geintegreerd in een 2D achtergrond. Grafisch heeft het spel ook erg veel weg van Robin Hood van Spellbound. Rebelmind on Thursday through the Adrenaline Vault announced a new project called A Fistful of Gold - a real-time strategy title embracing elements of other genres. The game's plot is set in the twilight of the Middle Ages - when a king died and his country plunged in chaos. Players are a bounty hunter and gun for hire that travels from town to town solving other people's problems and ama ing a personal fortune. The game's twisted world contains a touch of the Wild West along with strange monsters, bizarre weapons and even flying machines.

A Fistful of Gold will feature non-linear and open-ended gameplay. The battles will focus on combat – with in-game resource management and team development being secondary concerns. Towns will serve as centers for information exchange, socializing, trading, investments, hiring and training your team, getting tasks and claiming your rewards.

A Fistful of Gold is at the end of its pre-production stage and a working prototype is ready. Rebelmind is currently looking for a publisher for this title. Stay tuned for a launch of the project's site on August 16 and more news coming to AVault next Monday.
