Earth & Beyond, de nieuwste game van Westwood is één van de titels waarmee Electronic Arts zijn EA.com flink wil promoten. Op de officiele site van deze game worden dan ook flink wat updates geplaatst om ons voortijdig zo enthousiast mogelijk te krijgen.

Zojuist hebben de mensen van Westwood een update op de officiele site gemaakt waarin de grafische kwaliteit van Earth and Beyond wat verder is toegelicht."There are also maps available that I could use for the major planets in our solar system," Ken said. "On the planets and moons that are known, I paid more attention to detail; on ones outside our solar system, I had a little more flexibility."

But the Earth and Beyond universe extends far beyond our immediate solar system. In fact, it's really only the starting point. Much of the game's appeal will lie in the ability to see and explore unknown sectors of the universe. For these areas, Ken used his imagination.

Behalve de tonen van de graphics heeft EA nog maar bitter weinig laten zien van de gameplay. Bovendien is dit een titel die weer slachtoffer zou kunnen worden van de grote haast waarmee EA titels in de winkelschappen schopt.
