GameSpy: You state that the game world is one huge, seamless journey. How is this being achieved?
Chris Taylor: This was achieved with our Siege Engine's streaming technology. It streams in new data as your party moves throughout the world. The world is huge, but the amount of data that immediately surrounds the player's characters is much smaller and can be held in memory at one time. This allows us to create a rich and detailed handcrafted world and keep the player immersed in it the entire time, and never seeing a loading screen again after the game starts.
