Take2 Interactive heeft het financiele plan voor het komende jaar bekend gemaakt. Het gaat niet goed met het bedrijf en het aandeel mag sinds 22 januari niet meer verhandeld worden op de beurs.

Wat echter opvallend is aan het financiele plan is het ontbreken van Duke Nukem Forever. De uitgever gaat er dus van uit dat dit spel niet binnen het huidige financiele jaar in de winkels zal liggen. As far as their future outlook, the pre release indicated that Grand Theft Auto 3 would be released for the PC in the Spring/Summer time frame as well as Mafia and Hidden and Dangerous 2. A new Grand Theft Auto game is scheduled to be released in the Fall/Winter time frame and they also plan to release new brand extentions for franchises like Max Payne, Serious Sam, and Oni. The most significant thing about the pre release is the mention that 3D Realms's long awaited first person shooter Duke Nukem Forever "is not factored into the Company's fiscal 2002 guidance", meaning that the game will likely not be released until sometime after October 2002.

Oktober 2002 gaat nog enorm lang duren, en de vraag is of er dan nog niemand te springen staat om dit spel. Maar 3d Realms kennende zullen ze er vast wel wat moois van maken, want talent hebben ze in overvloed. En intu entijd kunnen we van Take2 mooie games als Grand Theft Auto 3 en Mafia verwachten.
