Driver. Wie kent dit spel niet?

Het spel was vooral op de Playstation een groot succes en Infogrames was er dan ook als de kippen bij om een sequel aan te kondigen. Helaas zeiden ze bij die aankondiging dat er geen PC versie uit zou komen.

Nu vele klachten en petities heeft Dan Harnett, public relations knakker van Infogrames gezegd dat de kans redelijk groot is dat Driver toch ook voor de PC uit zal komen.Infogrames has indicated that a PC version of Driver 2 could happen. The original Driver was a huge PS console hit, selling more than one million copies. Although the PC version did “better than projected,” the Adrenaline Vault was told at the time, the title was released without fanfare and did not attain the same succe as its console counterpart. As production was ramped up on the sequel, it was announced as a PS console-dedicated title. The reaction from the PC gaming was strong, with fan sites calling for a PC release. Dan Harnett, public relations agent for Infogrames, has told the Adrenaline Vault “odds are good that it will happen.” Production on the PC and Dreamcast versions would be outsourced, though no studio has been identified.
