De Diablo2 expansionset is eindelijk in betafase en zal naar verwachting over niet al te lange tijd in de winkels liggen. Helaas is de beta-fase enkel toegankelijk voor gamers die in de VS of Canada woonachtig zijn.

Wij Europeanen zullen dus nog even moeten wachten op de final release en hopen dat die Amerikaanse testers het niet verpesten.

Applications will be accepted from noon pacific daylight time on Wednesday, April 4, until noon PDT on Wednesday, April 11. Beta testers will be chosen randomly from the pool of applicants. Applicants must own a copy of Diablo II and must be U.S. or Canadian residents 17 and over. System requirements for the expansion set remain the same, but those wanting to run the program in the new 800 x 600 resolution will need higher-end machines. The focus of the test will be on improving game server stability and capacity.
