Na eerdere trailers deze week is er een derde trailer van No Man's Sky uitgebracht.

Op Netgaming is een uitgebreid artikel verschenen over de geschiedenis van FPS games. Alle grote namen uit het FPS verleden worden behandeld.

Het terugblik begint uiteraard met Wolfenstein 3D, algemeen erkend als de moeder van het genre. Daarna wordt er nog een blik geworden op Doom (2), Duke Nukem 3D, Quake (2), Unreal, Half-Life, Unreal Tournament, Quake 3 Arena en Tribes (2).The game that brought the PC kicking and screaming into the modern gaming world, was a revolutionary title by the name of Wolfenstein 3D, released by little known company id software in 1992. What was so revolutionary about this game I hear you cry…Well, Wolfenstein 3D was the first game that allowed you to see through your character's eyes. This greatly increased the players attachment to the game, instead of seeing your little sprite get hit by a bullet, it appeared that you yourself had just been hit by said bullet. This was an experience that helped draw you into the game like no other had before it. Like most games of it's day, the storyline was relatively simple; in this case, complete each level by killing all the nazis that stand between you and the exit, whilst along the way collecting armour and new weapons. This game is credited as being the daddy of them all, the original First Person Shooter (FPS) that started them all off…
