The first version that I wrote took only a couple of days to write. For the rest, I just worked on them during my free time for fun; an hour here and an hour there.
2. Did you beta-test it with other people, or was it just you?The only testing that I did was with bots (Android on de_dust). I've never used it against a human and no one beside me used it before I made the first release.
3. A while back I was an active player on your Counter-Strike server, and I always remembered you being vehemently opposed to cheaters on your server (this was back in the 5.2 voodoo models days). Do you still take the same stance on cheating while playing on a server, or has your view changed now that you've actually made cheats? My view has not changed. I think that anyone that cheats is a sad individual. I wouldn't be too worried about the AimBot, though. It will only hinder any decent player. The only cheat that really pi es me off is/was the voodoo cheats and the wall hacks. Anything else is really pretty trivial. Even bright models only give you a marginal advantage.
4. What were your original motiviations for writing an aimbot? How did the idea come up?The idea started with a post on the CS.net forums about the impo iblity of an AimBot. I've always liked a challenge so I started thinking about how it could be done. I knew that reading and modifying network traffic (how the old Quake AimBots worked) was out of the question. I eventually came up with the idea of tracking colors. Then, I casually mentioned in the post how it could be done and I got flamed by about 50 people telling me how stupid I was. So, I wrote the AimBot and asked for an apology. I never got any apologies, so I released it.Toch was het ook weer slecht van hem om de bot vrij te geven...Dus ik wil hem niet gelijk de hemel inprijzen.
